How the Method affects the body?

The Aviva Method exercises affect the body in various ways:

  • - Inner motility of the reproductive organs (the kind of movement which changes the position however does not entail the change of change of location of the reproductive organs),
  • - increased blood flow in the pelvic area,
  • - warm up of the area of the reproductive organs.

All the above affect the body in three different aspects:

On the mechanical aspect, intensive blood flow widens the blood vessels and enables a proper continuous blood flow in the pelvic area. Certain movements are intended to conduct a massage-like effect to the internal reproductive organs.

On the hormonal aspect, blood flow and physical stimulation boosts and revitalises the hormonal cycle to normal activity. The exercise can lead to a hormonal balance, including the lowering of high levels of FSH hormone. Retaining a hormonal balance along with the intensive blood flow significantly relieves certain diseases and syndromes - such as ovarian cysts, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), uterine fibroids (Myomas), endometriosis – they all derive from hormonal imbalance.

On the psychological aspect, the responsibility the woman must retain for her own personal treatment leads to a mental immunity and improves her ability to contend with her situation - self-pity and despair turn into new intensities and mental strength, which have an immediate effect on one' health state - "frantic" hormones which were influenced by mental stress get balanced and are now controlled by the woman herself.

Classifying The Method as 'exercise' could lead to one believing that the aim of The Method is to build muscular strength and/or flexibility. It may do, however the primary objective is to increase and speed up the blood circulation in the pelvic and lower abdominal area.

The Method uses structured succession of various movements, dance and/or yoga-like moves performed for selected music to achieve improved blood circulation. As a result, the reproductive organs receive more nourishment, which in turn promotes the proper transmission of hormones and sets them to the right levels.

The movements address the pelvic floor, pelvis and lower abdominal area which is called Working Zone (WZ). The technique is moderate and uncomplicated, no special fitness needed and easy to learn. It takes about 45-50 minutes to complete the sequence of exercises which is designed to the individual's problem and body.

This is a self-healing process which has the desired effect only if it is practiced in the correct way and on a regular basis, at least 2-3 times a week. The Method gives the opportunity to the woman to not be dependant physiologically and/or psychologically on external medical help but have more control over the functioning of her own body.

What you need to do the exercises?

While no special fitness is required to perform the exercises, the commitment to practice regularly is very important to achieve success.

Just like other natural therapies, the Aviva Method is NOT a 'quick fix'. It usually takes one or two full cycles to experience the effect of The Method.
